Review: Rollers of the Realm

Pinball’s history precedes that of videogames, but the two mediums have often joined forces to deliver great gaming experiences over the years. You would think that with something as simple as pinball everything has already been done, but Phantom Compass are out to prove you wrong by combining pinball with RPG elements. Review: Daylight

I often liken fans of the survival horror genre to someone dying of thirst in the desert. Occasionally that person will chance upon an oasis, a beacon of hope in an otherwise barren landscape. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth announced for Nintendo 3DS

At the Persona event in Japan, Atlus just announced Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth for Nintendo 3DS. It’s a chibi-style spinoff of the series connecting Persona 3 and Persona 4, scheduled for release on the 5th of June next year in Japan. [Official Website]

Atlus Localizing “Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars”

Atlus recently revealed that they will be localizing Spike Chunsoft’s Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars on 3DS and PlayStation Vita for North America in Spring 2014. The title stars a Disciple who must create “star children” to fight monsters pouring out of the Pandora Labyrinth. Both versions of the game will cost $39.99.

Atlus Puts Shin Megami Tensei IV, Dragon’s Crown on Sale

Atlus has decided to show some love to RPG fans, by discounting Shin Megami Tensei IV, Dragon’s Crown, and their DLC. From now until November 11th, Shin Megami Tensei IV will be available for $39.99 both in stores and on the Nintendo eShop. In addition, the game’s DLC will be on sale for 25% off.

Hold it! Sega-Sammy is denying reports of having purchased Index/Atlus

SEGA-Sammy, the parent-company of SEGA, is now denying the report that they have acquired Index (and Atlus) as was reported just an hour ago. This is getting tense… Expect updates as this evolves I guess? [Source: Sega-Sammy]

SEGA will be purchasing Index/Atlus

According to a report from Nihon Keizai Shimbun, SEGA will indeed be purchasing Index having previously made an offer in August. This means that Atlus will follow suit and a bunch of properties will become SEGA properties, such as Shin Megami Tensei. It’ll be interesting to see how this will affect the west.
