You know who the best person in the history of the videogame industry is?
Miyamoto? Kojima? Suda 51? No, you’re wrong. All wrong.
The answer is Segata Sanshiro, the amazing mascot Sega had for the Sega Saturn. He got his own mini-game collection in Japan and even a music-video (embedded on top).
So why am I writing about a man who used to punch people who didn’t play Sega consoles back in the 90s? Well, the man himself recently took to the stage last night at a special Segata Sanshiro concert in Japan along with Koji Ando (the original planner for the Segata Sanshiro commercials).
He then proclaimed “Thanks for calling me back from outer space!”, basically giving us the Superman Returns we always wanted but thought we couldn’t have.
If you want to check out pictures from the concert, they’re over at Famitsu.
