PSN Accounts Can Now Grow Up

It might not be the most known of features, but Sony does offer a system for players under the age of 18 to have PSN accounts (Sub Accounts) controlled by another account (Master Accounts), which are subjected to spending limits. The downside is that Sony previously had no system in place to for when a Sub Account holder turned 18.

According to a Polygon interview, a policy change was made very recently to allow Sub Accounts to graduate from their parent or guardian’s account. Transitions are available now upon request for PlayStation 3 users and will be accessible on the PlayStation 4 when it launches on Friday.
