Molyjam Takes Inspiration From The Original Peter For Round Deux

E3+-+day+1+-+Peter+Molyneux

Usually, Molyjam (or, to give it its full title, What Would Molydeux) takes their cues from a little Twitter account called Peter Molydeux. A parody account, Molydeux posts outrageous, over-promising game ideas and pitches, an ostentatious satire of the way legendary British game designer Peter Molyneux often oversells his own products. Molyjam is a game jam (if you don’t know what a game jam is, look it up) that (traditionally) takes those Molydeux quotes, and makes games out of them. At a game jam. Seriously, look it up.

This year, though, they’re not using Molydeux’s quotes. Oh my no! For the second run of the event, with the express purpose not to “re-use the same themes and format,” they’re taking their inspiration from a choice of 22 real-life Peter Molyneux quotes. This is satire run amock, I tells ya.

So. What does this mean? Starting 5th July through 7th July, a bunch of game designers will be designing little projects based on quotes like, “pull the right trigger to see The Most Interesting Thing in the World,” and, “I keep finding myself rejected by men, which is a new experience for me.” Sounds good, don’t it?

If you wanted you could check out the list of locations and join in the game jammin’. I can’t wait to see what kind of crazy shit people come up with – last year’s submissions were nothing short of incredible.
