Devolver Digital announced today their collaboration with Deconstructeam to release indie sci-fi point-and-click adventure game Gods Will Be Watching on PC and mobile platforms in Spring 2014.
The game was originally created for the Ludum Dare 26 game jam, focusing on minimalism and featuring only a single stage, but Deconstructeam is overhauling the game to create a more full experience. The full game will expand on the original’s concepts of despair, survival, and the ethics of survivors.
Deconstructeam plans for the full version of Gods Will Be Watching to contain six levels, over ten hours of gameplay, new cinematics, more music, and an empathy system where the player’s actions affect the attitudes of the surviors.
Having already raised over €17,000 on Indiegogo, Devolver Digital has pledged to match all funds raised during the campaign. The campaign has just over two days remaining and still has yet to meet stretch goals for free DLC (at €20,000) and voice acting (€30,000).
More info can be found on the Indiegogo page and the original version of Gods Will Be Watching can be played here.
